Embark on a city highlights tour that showcases Saigon’s vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Despite its modernity, the city has maintained a strong connection to its past.
Our tour will visit some of Saigon’s most historic landmarks including the red brick Notre Dame Cathedral, featuring twin spires constructed from materials imported from France (please note that entrance is only permitted when no services are being performed). From there, we will head across the square to the Central Post Office, completed in 1891.
A short drive away is the former Presidential Palace, which was the headquarters of the Saigon Government during the American War. Next, visit the War Remnants Museum for a vivid and sometimes graphic perspective of the American War through the eyes of the Vietnamese. Afterward, experience Saigon’s renowned street coffee culture while your guide provides a brief language lesson and insights into daily life in Saigon before returning to your hotel.

Get ready for a fascinating ride by vintage vespa tonight to discover the busy Saigon after dark, together with beautiful street foods tasting in the most authentic local restaurants. Make your first stop at a small yet popular Vietnamese bread stall, line up to get fresh bread roll before heading to a local coffee shop for briefing. Keep on riding to a hidden boutique seafood restaurant to taste the freshest local seafood courses. Then continue to zig zag through the hustle bustle streets, wander around an old apartment complex which becomes extremely lively at night with hundreds of food and drinks stalls. Take a break at a 50-year-old desserts shop to try different hand-made sweet soups. End up your night at a cozy bar room tucked away in a quiet alley to taste some local beer and have a chat with people here. Take a walk or catch a taxi to get back to your hotel.

Day 3Coco Riverside Lodge - Explore The Lush Countryside Of The Mekong Delta (AM)

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a representative who will lead you to the lodge along a countryside path. After a short walk, you will be offered a welcome drink and proceed to check in at the lodge’s restaurant, where lunch will be served.

After resting for a while, you will have the opportunity to choose bicycles for a cycling tour on village paths that will take you to Mr. Cong’s home. Here you will witness the process of making pop rice and the blend of traditional and modern agricultural methods that sustain the local village. Mr. Cong will even teach you the secret of making ‘rice pop’, a unique and nutritious foodstuff that can be given as a gift to locals or children in school. Your guide will explain how the animals are raised and show you how they collect ‘biogas’ to make free and sustainable cooking food.

Continue cycling on quiet village roads, you will pass by a duck farm (if possible), green rice paddies, sedge fields, and small villages. Along the way, you will visit one of the dragon or orange fruit plantations and taste the fruit directly from the garden. You will have plenty of opportunities to capture picturesque Asian sunset scenes before returning to the lodge on your bicycles.

After refreshing yourself with a shower, you will walk to the home of a neighbor who fought during the Vietnam War. Here, you will listen to his story and experience ‘poon’ lights and traditional music. At the end of the show, you will walk back holding traditional torches made of dried coconut leaves.

In the evening, you will have a traditional cooking class where you will learn to make Vietnamese pancakes. This will be a great learning experience that will allow you to take a bit of Vietnam home with you. Dinner will be served at the lodge’s restaurant.

Day 4Boat On Mekong Delta And Learn About Coconut Processing

After breakfast, we will embark on a boat ride to witness local squatting markets and transport goods such as coconuts from one factory to another. Next, we will cross the local ferry to visit the magnificent Cao Dai temple. On our way back, we will stop at small coconut-processing operations situated along the riverbank. Here, we will see how the coconut fibers are removed from the husk to make rope, which is then used to weave rugs. Most of the work is professionally done by hand, and the buyers are mostly foreign companies.

Once we return to the lodge, we can participate in some activities such as harvesting water coconut leaves and weaving them ourselves. These leaves are a primary building material in the Mekong Delta, used to build walls and roofs of houses. The local people will demonstrate not only how they use these leaves, but also how to make the ‘poon’ sticks that illuminated the previous night.

Day 5Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An

Free at your leisure until the driver comes to pick you up to transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport to take a domestic flight to Danang. 
Once arrive, your driver will come to pick you up to transfer to your hotel in Hoi An to check in.

Day 6Hoian biking and fishing experience

The peaceful countryside in Vietnam is always the unforgettable thing in  tourists’ eyes. Therefore, if you consider Hoian as one of your destinations, you should join us to visit the beautiful fishing village of Cam Thanh to explore more the daily life of the local people. 
Our guide will take you for a cycling trip to the  countryside and rivers around Hoi An. As you meander through the countryside you will  experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. This easy biking trip  will take you to the beautiful vegetable village of Tra Que where you see the real way of planting  vegetable of the local people, walk around the village and take some great photos before biking to The Fishing Village of Cam Thanh where you take a paddleboat trip in a unique Vietnamese  bamboo basket boat down the waterways of a coconut palm paradise. Enjoy a hands-on experience  of traditional net fishing.

Day 7Hoi An Self - Guided Experience

Today is yours to enjoy Hoi An however you like. Enjoy a leisurely walk or rent a bicycle for a ride along the quiet streets (motorized vehicles are banned in the city). Later, perhaps get measured for a custom-made outfit (Hoi An is famous for its expert tailors), or head to one of the city’s nearby white-sand beaches. For dinner, try local dishes such as com hen (sauteed clams), nem lui (ground pork), and cao lau (pork and greens).

Day 9Hoi An to Hue

Sapa is a mountain retreat and former French colonial garrison, surrounded by lush green mountains and rice terraces. Breathe in the cool alpine air while wandering the town’s steep streets, stopping to buy handicrafts made by local Hmong women wearing bright, colorful traditional clothing, or pausing at a café for a cup of Vietnamese coffee.

Sapa – Love Waterfall – Heaven Gate

Depart Sapa on a 30min drive to the 100m (323ft) high Love Waterfall so named after a legend telling of a fairy who fell in love with a mountain boy who played his flute in this picturesque spot. Along the way, make an optional stop at a local farm for a leisurely exploration.  Continue driving uphill to Heaven’s Gate along the Tram Ton Mountain Pass for views of stunning Mount Fansipan. At 3,143m (10,312ft) above sea level, it is the highest peak in Indochina. Enjoy the view and take some photographs before you return to Sapa.

Day 13Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Sapa

First start of 6km of walking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong. Continue a 2km-trekking down to Lao Chai village, through terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay minority people.
Lunch at restaurant or a local family, it gives you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom. Enjoy the landscapes…on the way.
Last trek is about 2Km to Tavan then get back to Sapa by private car.
Enjoy dinner by your own and overnight at the hotel.

Day 14Sapa to Hanoi

Fansipan mountain with Cable car

After having breakfast, check out of the hotel, today you will be transferred to reach the top of Fansipan mountain -“The roof of Indochina”.

You will be taken to Cable Car Station and spend 20 minutes with cable car to enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Reach the altitude of 2800 meters, you have a good time to enjoy the spectacular view and take photos, visit pagoda the spiritual destinations and take a train to reach the peak of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina.

Afterwards, we will come back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town to enjoy the lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 15Hanoi City Tour

Explore the charming city of Hanoi, often referred to as the ‘Paris of the East’, with its yellow ochre colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and scenic lakes.
Visit the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an imposing monument of marble and granite built to house the preserved body of beloved revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh, affectionately known to the Vietnamese as “Uncle Ho”.
Visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a Buddhist temple built in 1049 of wood in the shape of a lotus blossom and set on a single stone pillar.
Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university built in the late 11th century. The picturesque temple is an example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture and is featured on the back of the 100,000 Vietnamese dong banknote.
In the afternoon, visit the fascinating Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays) which houses an extensive collection of traditional costumes and artefacts from Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups.
Drive back to central Hanoi for a walking tour through the famed Old Quarter known for its ‘36 streets of 36 wares’ named after the original 36 artisan guilds that date as far back as the 13th century.
Conclude your day by watching an entertaining water puppet performance, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form said to have originated in the flooded rice fields of the Red River Delta where villagers entertained themselves by manipulating puppets over the water. The show uses colourful wooden puppets to depict scenes of rural life and episodes of national history set to music.

Day 16Hoa Lu And Tam Coc Exploration

Embark on an exciting adventure with a visit to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital and first centralized feudal state from the late 10th century. Though the old citadel is mostly in ruins, the temples of the Dinh and Le dynasties remain and are surrounded by picturesque rice paddies.

Savor a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, featuring a variety of local dishes such as goat meat and fried rice. After lunch, take a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride to Tam Coc. This serene boat trip will leave you spellbound by the stunning beauty of the paddy fields, river, water, clouds, sky, and breathtaking cave system. It all comes together to form a masterpiece that the Vietnamese refer to as “Halong Bay on land.”

07.30: Exploring Sung Sot cave. This is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay. The cave has some unique rock formations which couldn’t be found anywhere else. The path to the mouth of Sung Sot Cave is under a canopy of leaves. Walking through steep stone steps, tourists may have the feeling of climbing on mountains and experience the excitement as if they are stepping to the sky.

08.30-09.30: Back on board, you can rest in your room, enjoy the herbal foot bath prepared by our crew, sunbathe on the sundeck, take pictures of Ha Long Bay or shop for souvernirs on the boat.

Do I need to make a deposit? What is the payment process for my booking?

You will be required to pay a deposit when booking with Responsible Asia. The deposit will be 10% of the full payment. All deposits are non-refundable. Final payment is required no later than 30 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your trip to Vietnam and Indochina; however, we realize that there are many reasons for this event.
In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to Responsible Asia Asia given that a cancellation fee is applicable.
The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:
+ 60 days prior to arrival date: No cancellation charge. We Guarantee 100% Money Back. + Airfare cancellation fees (according to the airline’s cancellation policy) if any
+ 59 – 30 days prior to arrival date: 5% cancellation charge. + Airfare cancellation fees (according to the airline’s cancellation policy) if any
+ 29 – 15 days prior to arrival date: 10% + Airfare cancellation fees (according to the airline’s cancellation policy) if any
+ 14 – 8 days prior to arrival date: 40% + Airfare cancellation fees (according to the airline’s cancellation policy) if any
+ 7 days prior to arrival date: 100 %
+ No show: 100%
After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

Can I change itinerary?

Alterations to your itinerary before the booking is processed are happily processed free of charge. We want to provide the best tour possible for you. Alterations after you have received your booking confirmation letter will attract a fee of $10 USD per request.
Realistic Asia reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary. In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged accordingly. If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client(s), the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

What travel documentations should I prepare for my trip?

All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Your travel advisor may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon request. Responsible Asia accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the failure of clients to obtain appropriate documentation.
 

How I can make complaints and claims if any problems during my trip?

For dissatisfaction with any service Responsible Asia has provided, please notify your local tour guide or your travel advisor immediately to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.
In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. Responsible Asia will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.
