Get up early in the morning and meet your private tour guide at the hotel, who will take you to the local studio for a yoga class to energize the body and mind.
Then have a quick refreshment and meet Chef Ai, who will take you to the local market for food shopping. Chef Ai is a passionate chef who has a decade of experience as a professional chef, she can show you how to select the freshest & typical ingredients for local foods. Enjoy the sight, sounds, and flavors of the market. Then take a walk to her cozy private home for a private hands-on cooking class while listening to her inspiring stories about culinary in Vietnam. Taste your own creations for lunch and get transferred back to your hotel.

Depart Hanoi for a scenic 4-hour drive along green rice paddies to Mai Chau. Located in Hoa Binh Province, Mai Chau is famed for its splendid vistas of mountains and valleys surrounded by lush landscapes and stilt houses, inhabited mainly by the White Thai ethnic group. On arrival, check-in at Avana Retreat, located deep in the tropical forest and ethnic hill-tribe villages. It is the perfect place to build an inseparable connection with nature and get away from the busy life.

Enjoy breakfast at the resort and say goodbye to Mai Chau. You will take a 3-hour scenic drive to the Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh Province. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014, Trang An is famed for its spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks whose sheer vertical walls rise abruptly 200m (656ft) above the surrounding land and water. Dense rainforest covers the landscape, even clinging to the cliffs and peaks, blending naturally with rice paddy fields and rivers.
In the afternoon, we will continue to Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on Land”. Upon arrival, hop on the boat and take a 2-hour journey along the winding river and canals. Enjoy the views of the beautiful karst formations as you enter the natural caves formed under the hills.
After the boat trip climb to the top of Mua mountain, shaped as the bell. Admire the stone carvings of the dragon and phoenix on both sides of the staircase. The way will lead you to the cave formed by a long stone staircase that zigzags through the karst to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy). Then we will transfer you to your resort in Tam Coc to relax and rest after today’s explorations.

Enjoy a free day in one of the most beautiful places in Vietnam. Take a bicycle at the hotel and cycle along the rice paddies admiring the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding villages. Or just relax in the beautiful garden of your resort.
Overnight in Tam Coc Garden, Ninh Binh
Today you will see one of the most magical places in Vietnam, and a beautiful natural site that just cannot be missed – Halong Bay.
Have breakfast at the resort and get transferred to Tuan Chau Marina port, where you will board the cruise around noon time. The cruise will take you on the less touristy route to Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Archipelago.
After you board the cruise, you’ll be invited to savor Vietnamese dishes at the restaurant, while the boat is moving towards the Tra Bau area or Ba Trai Dao Beach. Spend time swimming and kayaking to see the limestone formations closer, or just relax at the beach. After returning to the cruise ship, relax at your cabin or on the sundeck or enjoy the boat’s services as massage or afternoon tea.
In the evening, a chef will demonstrate the art of preparing traditional Vietnamese cuisine. An a la carte dinner menu is also offered. Evening activities can include board games or squid fishing.
At sunrise on the second day, get up early to join Vovinam (Vietnamese martial art) practice. After the vovinam session, hop on the bamboo boat to visit one of the caves of the bay. When we return to the cruise, check out the room and enjoy the delicious brunch, while the cruise is heading back to the port. Disembark the cruise, and we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
