Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to the exit gate and meet our guide, who will be waiting in the lobby, holding the signboard with your name on it. If you cannot locate your guide, please go to the Airport information counter in the middle of the Domestic and International arrival lobby (inside the terminal) and call the emergency numbers provided in the confirmation voucher for assistance. Your driver will come to meet you up and transfer you to your hotel in the city centre.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh
Start your day with a visit to the Ben Thanh Market, one of the favorite places of locals for shopping and having snacks. Here you can experience the hustle and bustle of local Vietnamese life and shop for souvenirs. Next, head to the Reunification Palace, which served as the presidential palace of South Vietnam until the end of the Vietnam War. After that, you will visit the War Remnants Museum to gain insight into the country’s turbulent past. In the afternoon, take a cyclo ride through the streets of Ho Chi Minh City to see the city from a different perspective.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh
Have breakfast and complete the checkout. We will depart for the Mekong Delta around 8:00 am. Getting out of the city, you will see the mighty delta, also known as the land on nine dragons, with its quaint rural landscape and immense waterway.
Upon arrival at Cai Be harbor, we will board the boat to transfer you to the Mekong Lodge. Check in your private bungalows and enjoy a delicious lunch by the riverside.
In the afternoon, we will enjoy the bike trip to Tan Phong Island, where you will visit local workshops. You will see how locals weave the banana leaves hammock, and make daily house products from water hyacinth. We will also visit some gardens, where you could taste the fresh tropical fruits and enjoy Vietnamese folk music performances. Then take a small rowing boat trip along the canal.
When you are back at the lodge, take part in a cooking demonstration organized by the lodge chef and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Overnight in Mekong Lodge
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and take a boat trip to Cai Be market. Morning is a perfect place to see the floating market and feel the magical bustling atmosphere around. Then visit some more handicraft villages before getting back to the lodge to check out and take a boat trip back to Cai Be harbor to have lunch at the local restaurant. From here, we will transfer your back to Ho Chi Minh.

Relish the remaining moment in Ho Chi Minh before your private driver escorts you to the airport to take the flight to Hoi An. When you arrive at Hue Airport, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation.

This morning we will take you to the busy and colorful local market, where you will see how to bargain with the local sellers, and we will buy the fresh ingredients for the cooking class.
Then we will head to the Cam Thanh eco-village, which is known for the heroic history of the anti-French and anti-American war. You will immerse in the natural beauty of the nipa palm forest when taking a boat trip in a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat. You will also see how locals make loveable handmade products from nipa palm leaves such as hats, watches, and rings. Then join the local fishermen and learn how to catch fish and crabs by throwing fishing nets. Then try your hands at cooking the traditional Vietnamese dishes, which you will enjoy for lunch.

a pleasant walk around the charming town of Hoi An. This World Heritage ancient town is known for its well-preserved architecture, pedestrian-only streets, and distinctive local cuisine that give visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. Hoi An’s narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including the old merchant houses with a mixture of Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with its intricate woodcarvings; and the colorful market with stalls brimming with local specialties, silk, and clothes.
Then end your tour with an hour-long boat trip on the Thu Bon River, which will give you a closer view of fishing boats and country villages before heading to your hotel. You will also have a chance to drop flower lanterns in the river. This local tradition has been passed down from generation to generation and symbolizes letting the negative energy go off and making wishes for a brighter future.

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and head out of the city to Ba Vi. Upon arrival, enjoy the fresh soft drink in Moc village and get ready for a cycling trip along the rice paddies and quaint villages, making a stop along the way at the neighborhood market. You will have a chance to interact with locals and see how they sell their own products for a living. Then cycle back to your starting point, where you will be invited to the house of Mrs. Chin, who will teach you to cook the local meals. Try your hands on cooking Hanoi-style bun cha and spring rolls using fresh ingredients from a local market and Mrs. Chinh’s garden. Then enjoy the delicious meals you cooked for lunch.
With a full belly, say goodbye to the host family, and head to a 30-year-old tea plantation in Ri Village. A peaceful place to enjoy the greenery, this plantation plays an important role in providing tea products for the whole of Northern Vietnam. You will have a chance to help the owners harvest the tea leaves and see how the tea is dried and processed into the highest quality beverage. Spend some time at Mr. Duoc’s house, the owner of the large tea farm, before departing for a scenic trip back to Hanoi city center.

In the morning, you will have the opportunity to explore the hidden side of Hanoi, where local people do their day-to-day business living and working alongside the railway. Your guide will introduce you to the people who share their space with Hanoi’s main rail artery. You will also explore the bustling markets which play an important role in this community.
At 9:30 am, your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and take you to the food market on Kham Thien Street, where you will see how people shop for some local key ingredients found in Vietnamese cuisine. After a short exploration of the market, turn off the main road and walk down narrow side streets before arriving at Alley Le Duan with a great view of one of the city’s ‘railway streets’. Here you will witness people enjoying a coffee on the tracks, chatting with friends, or hanging out their washing before casually making way for the oncoming trains. If the train schedule permits, you might witness the train passing by this narrow street. Afterward, move towards Hanoi station with the strange mix of colonial and socialist architecture.
Continue walking through some local areas and enjoy a stop at Cua Dong Street for a morning refreshment before the car picks you up and takes you to Gia Lam Station. At this station, hop on the train and travel to Long Bien Station. On arrival, you will have the chance to visit a bustling market located in the shadow of the famed Long Bien Bridge – a French relic that played a crucial role in the Vietnam War due to its strategic position. The bridge was heavily bombed, but some original sections remain.

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
Alterations to your itinerary before the booking is processed are happily processed free of charge. We want to provide the best tour possible for you. Alterations after you have received your booking confirmation letter will attract a fee of $10 USD per request.
Realistic Asia reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary. In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged accordingly. If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client(s), the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.
All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Your travel advisor may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon request. Responsible Asia accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the failure of clients to obtain appropriate documentation.
For dissatisfaction with any service Responsible Asia has provided, please notify your local tour guide or your travel advisor immediately to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.
In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. Responsible Asia will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.
