Day 1Arrival in Siem Reap

Welcome to Siem Reap, the gateway to the largest religious monument in the world, Angkor Wat. Your private driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of the city, where you can rest after the flight.

Day 2 Explore the Complex of Angkor

Today you’ll wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over Angkor Wat. Then return to the hotel for breakfast before heading back to the Angkor area for the day. Begin at the ancient ruins of the South Gate of Angkor Thom, famous for the huge stone faces lining the path to the entrance.

One within Angkor Thom’s gates, explore several temples, like the Buddhist Bayon Temple, the Royal Palace, and the Kleang-style Hindu temple Phimeanakas. As you walk through the complex, you’ll encounter decorative terraces like the Elephant Terrace, decorated with carvings of the animal, and the Terrace of the Leper King, named for a statue of Darmaraja, a king who had leprosy, found on-site.

Of course, you’ll have plenty of time to explore Angor Wat itself. Built in the 12th century, the temple complex sprawls over about 518 acres (210 ha) of land, making it the largest religious monument in the world. 

Afterward, you’ll visit the famous jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm. Here enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers have woven themselves into the stone foundations of the structure, giving the impression that the powerful forces of nature are reclaiming the temple.

Day 3Day trip to local village Chansar

We leave the city behind and travel to Chansar, a local village, and firstly enjoy an ox-cart ride around the village before hearing from a local family about the process of broom-making. There’s a chance to have a go yourself before a guided walking tour to take in the experience and culture of this rural way of life – you can try out fishing and farming as the locals do, too. Proceeds from this tour will go directly to the community to improve the lives of the residents.  We will chat to the locals over a simple yet delicious lunch before travelling back to Siem Reap. There’s a chance to stop off at a local temple en-route to the hotel and receive a colourful blessing from a Buddhist monk.

Day 4Kulen National Park - Roluos Group

After breakfast – Drive to Kulen National Park of Kulen Mountain, the Khmer Empire’s capital in the early 9th century. Here we will visit countless ancient temples, the River of 1000 Lingas, a reclining Buddha, and cascading waterfall, where you can rinse your sin and unpleasant deed with holy water. Return to the town for your late lunch on your own budget. Afternoon,  Visit the Roluos Group. The monuments of Rolous, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89. Preah Ko erected by Indravarman I in the late 9th century dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880. Bakong is the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance. Lolei was built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder of the first city at Angkor. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh.  Afternoon, visit Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Then visit Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), the Market has gained reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic music instrument.  Overnight in Phnom Penh

Do I need to make a deposit? What is the payment process for my booking?

You will be required to pay a deposit when booking with Responsible Asia. The deposit will be 10% of the full payment. All deposits are non-refundable. Final payment is required no later than 30 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your trip to Vietnam and Indochina; however, we realize that there are many reasons for this event.
In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to Responsible Asia Asia given that a cancellation fee is applicable.
The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:
+ 60 days prior to arrival date: No cancellation charge. We Guarantee 100% Money Back. + Airfare cancellation fees (according to the airline’s cancellation policy) if any
+ 59 – 30 days prior to arrival date: 5% cancellation charge. + Airfare cancellation fees (according to the airline’s cancellation policy) if any
+ 29 – 15 days prior to arrival date: 10% + Airfare cancellation fees (according to the airline’s cancellation policy) if any

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

Can I change itinerary?

Alterations to your itinerary before the booking is processed are happily processed free of charge. We want to provide the best tour possible for you. Alterations after you have received your booking confirmation letter will attract a fee of $10 USD per request.
Realistic Asia reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond its control make such alteration necessary. In this event, any of the increase or reduction of the tour cost will be calculated and charged accordingly. If the tour is to be changed at the request of the client(s), the client will be required to pay any additional cost in advance.

What travel documentations should I prepare for my trip?

All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visas or permits at the commencement of travel. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of the client. Your travel advisor may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon request. Responsible Asia accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the failure of clients to obtain appropriate documentation.
 

How I can make complaints and claims if any problems during my trip?

For dissatisfaction with any service Responsible Asia has provided, please notify your local tour guide or your travel advisor immediately to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.
In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. Responsible Asia will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.
