Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, go through the immigration and customs procedures and proceed to the exit, where your guide and driver will be waiting for you in the lobby, holding the signboard with your name on it. If you cannot locate your driver, please go to the Airport information counter and call the emergency number provided in the confirmation voucher for assistance. You will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city at your own pace.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel and check out the hotel. This morning you leave Hanoi behind and head for Hai Phong, where you board a hydrofoil to Cat Ba Island. It is the biggest island in the Gulf of Tonking, where you can stay overnight, explore the untouched nature of the Cat Ba National park, and enjoy the fantastic Halong Bay views.
Once you arrive, you can check into your hotel room, have some rest after the transfer, and have lunch.
Spend the rest of the day exploring Cat Ba Island by yourself.

In the afternoon, you will explore Cat Ba Monkey Island also known as Cat Dua Island, which is a new stop in Northern Vietnam for nature lovers in recent years. The charm of this island lies in its pristine nature and beautiful scenery. Currently, this island is still pretty much intact as it stays untouched by humans and travelers. Then head back to your hotel to have free time for relaxation and enjoying the surrounding area.
Overnight in Cat Ba
Start your day early with breakfast served at your hotel, and get ready for the day out in the middle of nature in Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve.
After breakfast, we will drive you to the entrance gate of Cat Ba National Park, from where we start a 9km trek crossing the jungle on a single trail and dirt path. The highlight of this trek is the view from the hilltop and the diversity of different kinds of insects on the way. The trekking ends in Viet Hai village (3 hours), which is isolated from the rest of the island and known as the home of local fishermen.
Lunch will be served at the local family. After lunch, you can choose between hiking to Navy peak (268 m – the highest one on the island) or walking to the rice field.
In the afternoon, hop on the bike and start a cycling trip on the jungle road (7km) to the port. Get on the boat for 2 hour trip around Lan Ha bay, with a stop for the beach for swimming and kayaking (optional) before heading back to Cat Ba island.

After breakfast, we will get back to the mainland and enjoy a 3.5 hours scenic drive to Ninh Binh province. It is a spectacular place with landscapes of limestone kart peaks permeated with valleys, some of them are submerged, and surrounded by vertical cliffs.
After fresh up at Lua Vang Restaurant, hop on your bike for a leisurely 4-km cycle around the winding paved road to enjoy a peaceful moment of the Northern countryside. Along the way, you might see cows or buffalos working on rice fields with farmers or lazily relaxing under shade (depending on the rice season).
Then transfer to Van Long – the largest natural reserve of wetlands. It is also home to 32 stunning grottos named after their different shapes. In the dry season, Van Long is the wintering place of migratory birds from the North. Sit on a rowing boat floating through the picturesque scenery with spectacular mountain ranges creates a natural wall surrounded by a vast expanse of water. Then we will transfer you to the hotel for check-in and leisure.

Have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s very first national park and the country’s largest nature reserve. Upon arrival, you will visit the Primate Rescue Centre to learn how endangered species are rescued from poachers or rehabilitated after injuries. There is a chance to see langurs and gibbons up close. Then enjoy a fascinating 5km (3 mi) trek through the diverse flora and fauna and picturesque scenery of old-growth forests. A picnic lunch is served en route before driving back to your hotel in the afternoon.

Today you will explore the Vietnamese historical sites and see the most magnificent natural views of Ninh Binh. After breakfast, check out the hotel and meet your guide. We will head to the temples of the Dinh and Le dynasties that stand surrounded by rice paddies. Then continue to Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on Land”, where a skilled rower will take you on a 2hr slow journey on the winding river and canals. Enjoy the views of the beautiful karst formations as you enter the natural caves formed under the hills.
After lunch, enjoy a hike to explore the Mua mountain, which shapes like a bell with a width of around 800 square meters. Then climb the stairs to the top of the hill, from where you will get to the Mua cave. The way leading to the cave formed by a long stone staircase zigzags through the karsts. The left and right sides of the staircase are decorated with beautiful dragon and phoenix stone carvings. There are nearly 500 steps to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy). It is considered that the cave entrance looks similar to the “ Great wall of China ”. Later we will head to Hanoi.

This morning check out of the hotel and depart around 08:00 for a five-hour drive to Ba Be Lake National Park. On the way, we will stop at the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups of Thai Nguyen (Note: closed on Mondays and open from 11:30 to 13:30). Built in 1960, the museum was originated to study and share the culture and history of ethnic groups based in the northern area during the Indochina War. Nowadays, the museum has gathered an interesting selection of exhibits representing the culture of the major hill tribes living in Vietnam and has become a museum specialized in national culture.
Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Then, the scenic drive will take you to the Ba Be Lake in Bac Can Province, the largest natural lake in Vietnam and the heart of Ba Be National Park, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. The road to Ba Be snakes through the mountains to the Tay village of Bo Lu, where you will visit a friendly Tay family in their traditional stilt house. Arrive at a homestay in the afternoon. Check in for a rest for the remainder of the day. Dinner and overnight at the local house.

Board a boat to travel the entire length of the three connected lakes of Ba Be (meaning “Three Bays” in Vietnamese) and up the Nang River to Dong Puong, an enormous 300m (984ft) tunnel carved out by the river through a limestone mountain. The boat proceeds downriver to the small and rustic village of Hua Tang. Enjoy lunch in a local house alongside the river before taking a short walk through the jungle to the scenic Thac Dau Dang Waterfalls, a series of spectacular cascades between sheer rock walls. Return by boat to your local homestay.

Depart Ba Be along a scenic road following the river that snakes from pass to pass through the hills of northern Vietnam, rarely traveled by tourists. On the way to Hanoi, stop to visit the relatively intact remains of a French prison in Cho Chu, built in 1916 to detain patriots and Vietnamese revolutionaries. Because of its secure construction and relatively remote setting, prisoners were brought here from all over the North. Then drive back to Hanoi for your onward flight to Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival in Saigon, our driver and guide will meet you and take you to the hotel for check-in and free leisure time.

Have breakfast and check out of the hotel. Today you will leave the city and drive to Nam Cat Tien National Park, located 170 km from Ho Chi Minh City. An incredible diversity of birds and mammals live in the forest and wetland habitats of Nam Cat Tien, including an estimated 230 species of birds, including the endangered bird species.
Upon arrival, have some rest and enjoy lunch in the peaceful atmosphere of pristine nature. The afternoon is free for you to walk around the park headquarters. Dinner will be served at the hotel, after which you can enjoy watching some animals at night at their headquarters.

After breakfast, discover the forest by bike to see the Heaven waterfall and botanical garden. After the bike ride, get to the homestay for lunch and a short nap.
In the afternoon, restart the tour with a 6 km travel by pick-up car through forests to Crocodile Lake. Species, which you will see here, include Green Peafowl (by Crocodile Lake in the early morning or late afternoon), Bronze-winged Jacana, lesser adjutant, and Purple Heron. In the forest, look out for Red and Black Banded Broadbill, Orange-breasted Trogon, and Pale-headed Woodpecker amongst others.

This morning, wake up early and listen to the lovely songs of native birds. Enjoy breakfast, then prepare for another four-hour trekking to see the Crocodiles swamp. After that, head back to the headquarter of Nam Cat Tien National Park for lunch. Then get on a vehicle for heading back to Saigon in the late afternoon.

Have breakfast at the hotel and head out of the city into the forest on a full-day trip to Can Gio Forest. At the Dan Xay Bridge hop on the canoe and visit Vam Sat and Monkey Island. Stop at the crocodile farm and feel your heart race as you stand on a cruise boat angling for a carnivorous crocodile.
Then trek along the mangrove forest and stop at the center to take in the immense panorama of the Vam Sat mangrove forest from the “Tang Bong” tower.
Continue by boat to bat swamp. At the bat swamp, you will see the home of lying foxes, and visit the crab pond, where you may try crab angling.
Finally, have a short visit to a bird sanctuary for sightseeing nets of storks, herons, cranes, and more. You will be back in Ho Chi Minh around 16:00.
